Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Therapy
Abdominal & Pelvic Wellness
Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Therapy is a gentle, external approach to the abdomen and pelvis that considers the relationship between the abdomen, uterus and surrounding structures. Women may seek this work while navigating menstrual concerns, abdominal or pelvic tension, digestive concerns, scar tissue, fertility journeys, postpartum recovery, discomfort with intimacy, or chronic holding patterns.
Abdominal or pelvic concerns can exist alongside tension or restriction through surrounding structures, which is why sessions may explore beyond the area where you feel discomfort. Depending on your needs, your session may incorporate Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Therapy, visceral and fascial approaches, external pelvic work and somatic exploration.
Fertility & Menstrual Wellness
Women may also seek Maya abdominal therapy as part of a broader fertility journey, menstrual wellness or reproductive wellness practice. This work does not diagnose or treat fertility or reproductive conditions. Instead, it offers an individualized, body-centered approach to abdominal and pelvic wellness that can complement the care you may already be receiving.
Womb, Intimacy & Body Connection
The abdomen and pelvis can also be part of how we experience intimacy, desire, sensation and connection with our bodies.
For women who want to explore beyond the physical, sessions can leave room for somatic exploration of these dimensions when relevant—without assuming that every sensation has an emotional or energetic meaning.
What to Expect
Your first session begins with a conversation about what brings you in, your history and what you would like to explore.
All abdominal and pelvic work is external. Depending on your individual needs, a session may include the abdomen, hips, pelvis and surrounding structures.
